What is the difference between your Premium and regular carbon fiber fishing rods?

Our traditional rods are cut from a flat 2 mm carbon fiber. Our Premium rods are molded with fully rounded edges and incredibly easy to grip. Premium also has a more exclusive cork on the top, top eye in beautiful brass and blades in unique colors. They also come in a stylish window box, making them ideal as a gift or Christmas present.

How does the Go Fish It! and what makes it unique?

Go Fish It! is an innovative rattle that has everything and more. Carry it on your back, on the ice drill or in your hand with the carbon fiber tube. The ice axe now comes complete with rod holders, storage and more. You can immediately go out on the ice and start fishing. Absolutely, you also have the opportunity to rebuild your Go Fish It! if you so wish. Details are easy to disassemble and reassemble if you change your mind. All parts are also available in the webshop if you need to supplement.

What is the difference between your different warp rods?

Our simplest warp rods are cut from a 3 mm carbon fiber plate with slightly rounded edges. These rods are affordable, very nice and work just fine. We have a new series called 4+ and these rods are a little more torsionally stiff as they are cut out of a 4mm carbon fiber plate with properly rounded edges and with a solid layer of high-gloss varnish. The 4+ also has a cork for the handle. Our PREMIUM warp rod is made of molded carbon fiber and is a completely unique and fantastic rod for anyone who only settles for the very best. It fits perfectly in the hand and is perfectly rounded everywhere. Supplied in a nice window box. All our warp rods now have new fresh brass details, discreet hook holder and a dumb top loop smartly mounted in the front. A finliret indicator and two extra rubber adapters are also included if you want to make your own indicators. The premium rod also has an extra spool in the box.

Why should I choose SuperDroppers for my fishing?

Our SuperDroppers are made of a very fine chain and really hard snappers to avoid dropping hooks. Our links have been tested and are proven to be stronger than other similar links on the market. We have 3 different lengths 18mm, 23mm and 28mm as well as a special one for pole fishing. SuperDroppers are available in shiny or black color on the chain. Everything to your liking and taste. If you happen to have the hook hanging in the line above the pier, it may be because you have a slightly too long SuperDropper in relation to the pier.

Why are your ice fishing rod kits delivered without reel and blade?

Many people want to use our frames and build their own rods with, for example, a longer blade. Many people already have a number of 58mm diameter reels at home and therefore we offer the kits without reel and blade. These are of course available to buy separately if you want.

The plastic nut follows me around when I crank and lock the spool?

On our pre-assembled rods, the nuts are adjusted and work perfectly, but you may need to fine-tune a little after a day's use. This is done by doing a little damage to the threads on the inside of the plastic nut with, for example, scissors. We use a soldering pencil and carefully burn a little on the threads. On all our kits, you do the adjustment yourself from the beginning and then you have to be a little careful and try it out. It is easy to do too much damage to the threads and then the nut is very sluggish. Just right is best in this case.

What is the difference between the different models of ice fishing rods?

We have 4 different models of ice fishing rods. Alien, Ricoletti, Svea and Tre Kronor. All models are identical except for the handles. Alien has a handle with a recess and without a cork and decal. Ricoletti has a rather small narrow handle. Tre Kronor has a wider and longer handle and Svea has a triangular so-called thumb grip. Ricoletti, Tre Kronor and Svea all have a double-sided cork and decal on the top. All 4 models are available with a stiff black carbon fiber blade or soft white fiberglass blade.

Is it possible to change the blade on your pimping rods?

Yes, the blade is attached to the rod in the continuous detail to the linen feed-through and with a small shrink tube with glue. If you need to replace the blade, you simply cut off the shrink tube, pull out the blade and fit a new one. The new shrink tube is carefully heated with a hot air gun or over a candle. The small hook eye is also fitted back as it is inserted into the hose. Before the hose has cooled and solidified, you can fix the blade so that it ends up straight and nice.

Why don't you sell hooks and other accessories anymore?

We have decided to only sell products that we make ourselves. We previously had a wider range of different products, including ice fishing hooks, but these were things we bought from various sources. ViM Ice Fishing now only supplies its own products for which we can be 100% responsible for the quality to meet expectations.
